I have never really been one to give much thought to the coming of a new year or to make a bunch of new years resolutions that will be long forgotten before the end of January arrives. Growing up, my family just never made much of the new year, so I guess that stuck with me. In spite of all that, I was thinking the other day about 2010 and I thought of a few milestones that I will reach/celebrate/observe in this new year. For better or worse, I want to share them with you.

• Kristy and I will celebrate 24 years of marriage.
• Meredith will celebrate her 20th birthday.
• Emilee will celebrate her 18th birthday and graduate from high school.
• Abigail will celebrate her 13th birthday.
• Kristy and I will become grandparents.
• It will be 30 years since I graduated from high school.
• It will be 25 years since I graduated from college.
• It will be 10 years since we moved to Englewood, Fl.

To some this may all seem like the nostalgic ramblings of a middle-aged man, but I find it to be very interesting. I am certainly looking forward to seeing what the Lord is going to do in my life and in my family and in Sovereign Grace Bible Chapel in this new year.
